I tried to connect with the founder of Barefoot College, Sanjit ‘Bunker’ Roy, during my second visit, but he happened to be away during the exact two days I planned to be there. I had intended to speak with him during this visit to invite him for the Servant Leadership Speaker Series at my school in a few months. As a result, Prayag called Bunker Ji’s mobile phone for me and I was able to speak with him for 5 minutes. Additionally, I decided to leave him a letter on his desk.

Dear Lara,
Sorry I haven’t been connected to the wifi for the past couple of days.
Prayag was able to set me up with Bunker Ji via phone for about 5 minutes. I could not get him to commit or confirm on coming to the US for the speaking engagement. He was pushing for Meagan (current CEO) to come and speak instead. He did say he would stay in touch and keep in contact though.
Just to make sure I would get a response from Bunker Ji, I decided to write a letter and leave it on his desk in Tilonia. He was scheduled to arrive in Tilonia the day after we left, so I figured it was worth a shot.
